The small rules that keep every piece consistent, whoever wrote it.

The name

Medicspot is one word with a capital M. The logo sets it in lower case; running copy never does.

Write

  • Medicspot

Never

  • MedicSpot
  • Medic Spot
  • medicspot (in running copy)

Spelling and numbers

RuleDetail
British EnglishThroughout. Colour, programme, centre, organise.
NumbersWords up to nine, figures from 10. Weights and percentages are always figures: 2st 3lb, 84%.
WeightStone and pounds first for UK members, with kilograms in brackets where there is room: 18lb (8.2kg).
Coaches are named“Your coach, Laura” over “your coach” whenever we know who it is.
CapitalsSentence case for headlines and labels. Health coach is lower case in copy; Health Coach as a job title or role label.
PunctuationNo hyphens or dashes as punctuation. Full stops and commas do the work. Short sentences do the rest.
ResultsAny figure carries “individual results vary”. Prefer averages to promises.

Naming the team

The GP, physio, nutrition and mental health appointments are delivered by our parent company’s clinicians. Member facing material never names it. It is always Medicspot’s team, your team.
